My Future

WOW, what a feeling, i was all happy until yesterday then i thought, " why have i given 22 years of my life to flying when no one gives a toss" The job is not like it used to be, suspensions by the day, atmospheres, bad feeling, working practices changing, wages changing, in fact within two years this job will not be anything like it is now.

I am not sure if it is because i am a Pisces but i just love the water, have done 9 cruisers up to now and never want to get off, i have 5 summers of entertainments experience with Pontins, i have 22 years customer service experience with flying and i am totally customer focussed, we can all do " a job" but if you do it with kindness and maybe go the extra mile or just strike up a conversation it separates you from the rest and makes you special, caring and basically good at your job.

I thrive on stress related situations and problem solving but at the age of 46 have i left it too late, could i be a Cruise Director? There salaries are very high and work for a few months then have months at home, seems ideal!

Isn't it amazing how you can change over night and start to actually loathe the job you loved less then 24 hours previous, i think my employers are clever, they have let disputes fester and go on and on, they are driving people out to replace them with cheap labour.....very very clever, and it's working.

Watch this space, i have my feelers out, people are sussing out what my next move could be.....maybe in one years time i will be free from my shackles and in a job i love and can give 100% too!
